"A) Romeo and Juliet is widely considered one of the greatest love stories of all time. Decide if Romeo and Juliet's love is "real". Provide specific quotes from the play, use "real world" or personal examples, as well as any research on biology or relationships you do to support your position. Can we define love? Are there different kinds of love? Is one better or more "real" or valuable than another? Why? Is committing suicide for each other romantic? Can it "true love" in the middle and NOT romantic in the end? "
I am choosing the first essay topic because I am able to expand on the idea that this is the first time that Juliet has been "in love". She is still only a young teenager. ,She hasn't lived life to realize what true love actually is. In my opinion Juliet is in love with the fact of being "in love". I am really excited to express my opinion in the form of an essay.
I already have an idea of what I need to research for my essay. I am planning on having 4 main ideas that will help me begin my essay. They will be " Juliet hasn't experienced love until now". "She is being forced to get married to Paris, so this might be a plan to get out of the marriage". "Juliet is very hormonal being a teenager, she doesn't know what she wants yet". Finally "Romeo is moving on to fast, Juliet might be his rebound".
Great! Couple things to consider. How do we know "true love" until we have it? Can we think we have it and be wrong? What is "true love"? Can you find it at any age? Is teen crush "love"? Is it a "kind" of love? Why is one "love" better than another?
