The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime

In my opinion Mr. Boone killed wellington. The killing wasn't a mistake some had intended to kill the dog and cause pain to Mrs. Shears. All evidence leads to Mr. Shears, they have indirect connection but Mr. shears was responsible of the massacre of Wellington.

Mrs. Alexander tells us how "[Mrs. Boone], before she died, was very good friends with Mr. Shears." This tells us how they had a romantic affair. Mr. Boone might have found out and decided to cut Mrs. Boone off, in terms of pretending that she was dead to "protect Chris". After the death of Mrs. Boone Chris tells us how "[ his] Father said that he didn't know what kind of heart attack she had and now wasn't the moment to be asking questions like that". This helps contribute to the fact that his wife is not dead. He tried to cover up but instead he was unable to answer questions that he should have know. Siobhan says  "Perhaps your father just doesn't like Mr. Shears very much." This is a clue showing us how she knows something. She might have know about the affair. For all we know the whole town could know and deciding to hid this.

People might argue that Mr. Shears killed Wellington, but if we think about this logically it would be very unlikely for this to happen. Wellington would need to be comfortable with the killer considering that he was killed in the yard. Some one might have lured him in, Mr. Shears hasn't seen Wellington in two years. This tells us how he probably doesn't care about the dog in the sense that it isn't important to him. This might be why he didn't take the dog when he left Mr. Shears. If he didn't take the dog and he left Mrs. Shears then why would he be interested in coming back to his ex wives house to kill her dog...? He is probably happy with his own family and moved away from the town. Putting this in to perspective I don't think it would make sense if Mr. Shears killed the dog.

Thinkin about you

The song I chose was "Thinking about You" by Frank Ocean. I can relate to a lot of the song because it about of a destructive relationship that's not help anyone. It's more based on an ex but I'm using it more as a friend relationship. The line "a tornado flew around my room before you came" explains how I knew that you were trouble but I was willing to be your friend anyway. I'm usually friends with everyone.. Well I try to be. Even after every warning I still decided to become friends with this person. In the chorus he says "I've been thinking about you". To me this is how I was thinking about a million different things about the person. I was hesitant on become friends with the person but I ended up doing it anyway. This ended up getting me in a lot of hard situations. "It will never get old, not in my soul, not in my spirit, keep it alive, this line shows how I will never forget what that "friend" put me through. I might be able to forgive but not forget.

Thinkin About You- Frank Ocean

A tornado flew around my room before you came
Excuse the mess it made, it usually doesn't rain
In Southern California, much like Arizona
My eyes don't shed tears, but, boy, they pour

When I'm thinkin' 'bout you (ooh, no, no, no)
I been thinkin' 'bout you (you know, know, know)
I been thinkin' 'bout you
Do you think about me still?
Do you, do you?

Or do you not think so far ahead (ahead)?
'Cause I've been thinkin' 'bout forever (Oooh, oooh)

Or do you not think so far ahead (ahead)?
'Cause I've been thinkin' 'bout forever (Oooh, oooh)

No, I don't like you, I just thought you were cool
Enough to kick it
Got a beach house I could sell you in Idaho
Since you think I don't love you, I just thought you were cute
That's why I kissed you
Got a fighter jet, I don't get to fly it, though

I'm lyin' down thinkin' 'bout you (ooh, no, no, no)
I've been thinkin' 'bout you (you know, know, know)
I've been thinkin' 'bout you
Do you think about me still?
Do you, do you?

Or do you not think so far ahead (ahead)?
'Cause I've been thinkin' 'bout forever (Oooh, oooh)

Or do you not think so far ahead (ahead)?
'Cause I been thinkin' 'bout forever (Oooh, oooh)

Yes, of course
I remember, how could I forget (how could I forget)?
How you feel (how you feel)?
You know you were my first time (time).
A new feel
It won't ever get old, not in my soul,
Not in my spirit, keep it alive (spirit, keep it alive)
We'll go down this road
'Til it turns from color to black and white

Or do you not think so far ahead (ahead)?
'Cause I've been thinkin' 'bout forever (Oooh, oooh)

Or do you not think so far ahead (ahead)?
'Cause I've been thinkin' 'bout forever (Oooh, oooh)

Is Romeo and Juliet even about Love?

Romeo and Juliet is supposedly the greatest love story, but what if it wasn't a love story. If you look deeper and read in between the lines, you can figure out how different people perceive the same story. There have been many theories on how the story might have a broader meaning. Some being on how we are actually meant to hate Romeo, written in the Mary Sue blog by Glen Tickle.

"This love feel I, that feel no love in this", this line said by Romeo tells us how he's the only one in love in his and Rosaline relationship. She made it very clear on how she had no love towards Romeo. This backs up my prediction on how Romeo moved on to fast. According to a conversation on "ask men boards", the amount of time it takes to recover from a break up varies from months and years. Although the time wasn't clarified from when he first fell in love with Rosaline, you can clearly see how fast Romeo made the switch. It only took one glance for Romeo to fall out of love with Rosaline straight to Juliet. In modern terms we would call him a player.

LADY CAPULET- "She's not fourteen." She tells us how Juliet is not even fourteen yet, and how she is expected to get married to Paris at such a young age. Juliet being my age right now, I can relate to her feelings and emotions. We love someone but then we soon realize that it's just us being over dramatic or hormonal. Most of us haven't even experienced true love. If we haven't then how is Juliet supposed to. In her mind Romeo might be a good looking guy that wants her. In reality they are still teenagers. a lot of people are "in love with the concept of love". They want to be in love and have a happily ever after, but that's not how the world works. Teenagers have crushes but nothing compares to true love. Romeo showed how he loved Rosaline but then realized that you actually didn't even love her. This shows how teens think that something is there but it actually isn't. We are naïve and unaware of the actual meaning of love.

Juliet is a young teenager girl that is about to marry a much older man. Romeo might be her escape. She is running away from her problems by using him. People might think of Juliet as being a little girl that isn't the sharpest tool in the shed. She can be hiding behind a mask. Juliet can possibly be manipulating everyone around her. In the end she might have killed herself because her plan didn't go as planned and she didn't want to get caught. The Friar and Nurse were doing all of her dirty work. She took advantage of a desperate guy, Romeo, to benefit herself. “I’ll send a friar with speed To Mantua, with my letters to thy lord" Friar was the one to organize how the letter was going to get to Romeo. Juliet did nothing but give her consent. She kept her hands off the evidence. In the end when everyone blames Friar, he says "Doth make against me of this direful murder". He realized looking back how this looked like it was his fault. No one got mad at Juliet; they ended up making a pure gold statue of her. "For I will raise her in pure gold". Either way Juliet won in both circumstances. If Romeo lived, she would run off and live her own life away from her family.

Re-reading most of the script of Romeo and Juliet the opinions of others was starting to show. This play has so many different ideas and arguments over how if this is even about love. This  wasn't based on true love but more of an perception of love. All in all depending on who you ask and how you word the question, you could get countless miss matched opinions of how Shakespeare meant to portray the play. If only he was still alive we would be able to find the answers to varies question.

Essay Topic

"A) Romeo and Juliet is widely considered one of the greatest love stories of all time. Decide if Romeo and Juliet's love is "real". Provide specific quotes from the play, use "real world" or personal examples, as well as any research on biology or relationships you do to support your position. Can we define love? Are there different kinds of love? Is one better or more "real" or valuable than another? Why? Is committing suicide for each other romantic? Can it "true love" in the middle and NOT romantic in the end? "

I am choosing the first essay topic because I am able to expand on the idea that this is the first time that Juliet has been "in love". She is still only a young teenager. ,She hasn't lived life to realize what true love actually is. In my opinion Juliet is in love with the fact of being "in love". I am really excited to express my opinion in the form of an essay.

I already have an idea of what I need to research for my essay. I am planning on having 4 main ideas that will help me begin my essay. They  will be " Juliet hasn't experienced love until now". "She is being forced to get married to Paris, so this might be a plan to get out of the marriage". "Juliet is very hormonal being a teenager, she doesn't  know what she wants yet". Finally "Romeo is moving on to fast, Juliet might be his rebound".

What is love?

I love Juliet with all my heart. Shes the daughter that I've always wanted. I love Juliet more than I love my own children. This is probably because I see Juliet almost every single day. I was married, and I loved my husband. However back in that time we were in an arranged marriages. Therefore the difference  between Juliet and my husband, were different types of love.

English 10 Midterm

This term so far has helped me grown as a student. in terms of being responsible, dedicated, and organized. entering English 10 I didn't expect to be able to understand and comprehend so quickly.

A-In class I'm participating, listening and learning. I usually come to class if not my absences are excused. during class I spend majority of the time on task but there are sometimes when "I ride the elephant".

B-All of my assignments have been handed in... some have been late but I have already discussed the reason.

C- I put effort and concentration into each and every piece of work that I post. My work compared to Gaby's varies in size and vocabulary. You can tell that gaby puts more time into her work compared to mine.  I could improve by not rushing and finishing things quicker rather then procrastinating!

D- My participation in class is more socially than verbally. I don't like speaking in front of the class due to anxiety, but with English 10 being online I am able to express my opinion in more ways then one. during out introduction post at the beginning of the year, Joven was having trouble's with coming up with a good topic sentence. we both brain stormed different options. we came up with a great opening sentence, "Every one  says how being a teenager is so much easier then being an adult.  According to most adult's teenagers don't have any responsibilities and commitments." I also helped Gaby and  Erlynn with reading their work and helping them improve.in my opinion the best comment I wrote to help contribute to the class discussions was "  Hes explaining how love is complicated and takes time, the line "What is it else? a madness most discreet," He tells us how love is madness and it secretly drives you crazy and insane." this was written on part  4 from the translations of Romeo and Julliet.

Over all I think that I deserve a 75% or 76%.

To a stranger

In my opinion I think that the poet is written to or from a previous relationship. He might also be writing about an old friend...

He is letting out his emotions that express how he's feeling.

The line "slept with you, your body has become not yours
only nor left my body mine only" indicates that they had a sexual relationship. They were intimate..

Intimate to me means being able to trust someone with everything.. Meaning he and she, or maybe he and he, we very close.

The statement " you grew up with me"
Infers that they have been childhood friends. Making the trust and connections more personal.

When we were discussing the poem in class we made the assumption that then man in the poem might me homosexual.

In the time that this was written homosexuality was not accepted by society and was looked upon a sin.

The man maybe hid is feelings and thoughts within the poem. Him explaining this to us might have been a way to release all this anger from not being accepted.

How is Your Heart

I think that the poet should want more.he has been through so much making him a stronger and intelligent person, but then again he shouldn't be used to the life he has.

The poet should try and build his life up to be more happier and less depressed. He needs to get his life in check and plan for the future and not the moment.

Relationship wise, my opinion is the same. Why wouldn't want to spend my days sleeping with "whores" and living in hour to hour motel rooms. I would want more in life.

He shouldn't be content and like the way he's living. He has such a hard life. He should strive and aim to fix his life up and stop depending on the whores to help him out.

The poet doesn't get much support from either of his parents. We were able to find out about his past. His dad was abusive to both his more and him.

The abuse has effected him in such a way that cannot be fixed. He is mentally beaten. Thats maybe why he is living the life he is.

Interim report

Parent: what is you percentage?

Me: Well we as a class have decided that we would like to expand our knowledge without the pressure of percentages. Obviously in the end I will get a mark but for now we have stopped being so narrow minded.

So far in English 10 I feel pretty confident in my work. I am happy with what I hand in. I would like to think that I'm on the right track to passing with a good mark!

My tattoo

My tattoo is of the 4 main characters of Peter Pan. Micheal, John and Wendy darling, followed by Peter Pan himself. The meaning of the tattoo is to represent people that have played a big role on making who I am to day. Peter being my older cousin jaiya. She is practically my sister. Jaiya ,much like Peter Pan, is a leader, stubborn,  and a great mentor. She has got me through alot and I honestly have no idea what I would do without her. Next is Wendy. She reminds me alot of my mother. They are both adventure takers. My mom is also saying what if... Just like Wendy. John reminds me of my dad. My dads a really smart person. He's the one I go to for help with homework. John is the voice of reason, much like my dad. He stops me from doing anything that I will regret. Finally me a.k.a Michael. Me and Michael are both very naive. I'm the one that looks up to them 3. I'm inspired by each of them. I would get the tattoo on my ankle, just so it wasn't so noticeable am so grateful to have jaiya, and my parents. I couldn't ask for a better support System.

Extended metaphor

My extended metaphor was from the movie Frozen. The whole movie was about Elsa finding herself and being able to over come her fears no matter how bad they seemed. Else was able to move on from her fear of letting people find out who she really was. She had a very supportive sister along with a supportive town. They were able to cope with the fact that their queen had magical freezing powers. We all have fears whether or not we want to admit it. We can all relate to Elsa because at times she feels like an outside. Most of us know how it feels to be different and not fit in, but we need to remember that we're not alone. After you accept who you are no one can tell you who to be or what to do.

Myers-Briggs Personality test

After doing the Myers-Briggs personality test I was given the letters EN FP the advocate. The sentence "enthusiastic people typical very bright and full of potential" sums up my personality. I am usually  almost always smiling. I am not much of a leader in the sense that I don't have enough confidence to lead anyone. My friends mean the world as they have been through a lot with me. I feel extremely Honored to be the same four letters of Robin Williams. He was and still is my favorite childhood actor/ comedian. None of the jobs interest me. Since I was about 3 I've always dreamed  of being a veterinarian. All in all the test was fairly accurate with the exceptions of a few minor details.

Teen Themes

A lot of people say that being a teenager is easy compared to being an adult and having "real responsibilities", but what they don't understand is that our lives consist of daily struggles. From bad hair days to bullying.

My teenage years have been much more enjoyable than others, I have a great group of friends that  have helped me through a lot. I couldn't ask for better parents as they mean the world to me. They are both so supportive with any thing I do.

Being a teenager is being able to find out things that will help create a good foundation for the life ahead of you. I would like to think that I'm taking the right path to get to where I want to be.

I am greatly privileged that I am able to go to school and further educate myself prepare me for the future. School is easy in the sense that if you study and put your all in you can succeed.

I get a good amount of sleep.. 8 hours? Obviously I need a little more sleep but with the distraction of social media I find it hard. I'm not pressured to do anything that  I don't want to, as every one is supportive. I am currently in soccer which keeps me active.

In conclusion being a teenager is all types of emotions, struggles, and responsibilities. If you are able to over come that I guess that's when you stop being a teenager

English 10 intro

In English 10 I hope to achieve, learn, and succeed. I am fairly good at English as it is my first language. I enjoy spending my free time reading. I am a bad speller but that doesn't mean I don't try to correct myself as soon as I catch the mistake. I would like to think of myself as being a quiet, polite, and an all rounded student. I will put my all into each and every class. In the end I would like to be able to walk away from English 10 proud of what I have done.
